Journalists have decided that they should meet Ekta ASAP. The meeting has been arranged at 7 PM at Balaji Office regarding Kangana Ranaut’s behaviour with a PTI journalist. A letter has been documented in this regard, which will be handed to Ekta (of which SpotboyE has a copy).

Journalists Meet Ekta Kapoor To Complain About Kangana Ranaut

A few hours back, we told you about senior journalists meeting at Kitchen And Bar Restaurant. For the uninitiated, the meeting was arranged after Kangana  Ranaut accused a PTI journalist Justin Rao of bashing her film and running a smear campaign against her, harming her brand. The incident happened at the launch of the first song Wakhra Swag from her upcoming flick Judgementall Hai Kya, produced by Ekta Kapoor.

Now, the journalists have decided that they shall meet Ekta ASAP. The meeting has been arranged at 7 PM at the Balaji Office.

Journalists have been further aggravated by Rangoli's tweet against them, which had called them several names.  The scribes who are headed to meet Ekta have a 3-point programme to discuss with her:

(1) Ekta distances herself from what Kangana did on stage

(2) Kangana comes out and says 'I regret the incident'

(3) We are being supportive of her by distancing herself from Kangana and she needs to support

Also, a letter has been documented in this regard, which will be handed to Ekta. SpotboyE has a copy of that letter and it reads as follows:

Subject: Demand of an official statement condemning the inappropriate actions of the actor, Kangana Ranaut, at your film's song launch event

On July 7, 2019, your team had sent across an invite to the members of the press, asking us to join you and the film's cast at a song launch event in Andheri. After the song launch, in a media interaction Ms Kangana Ranaut, who had accompanied you and Mr Rajkummar Rao on stage suddenly snapped at our fellow journalist, Mr Justin Rao of Press Trust of India (PTI), before he could even complete his question. This behaviour was uncalled for.

Since you were the host, and the event took place in your presence, we the members of Entertainment Journalists Guild of India (EJGI) demand a written a public statement from you, Balaji Films, and Ms Ranaut, condemning the incident and Ms Rananut's behaviour. As part of this industry we do understand the stakes, but this cannot be at the expense of insulting and humiliating journalists. We need to work in tandem, so that we flourish together. So we would appreciate that you being part of the same industry help us get what is rightfully ours and that is RESPECT.
